Starboard Wide point 8'10 x 32.0

The wide point range is based around the width of 32 inches, creating stability in a variety of lengths. The 8'2 and 8'10provides short board performance, catering for a heavier or novice rider, that's still wanting a shorter board. Moving up to the popular 9'5, which starts to provide a bit more glide, it's quite often the choice for some one coming down in size from their first entry level board. The two longer versions are 10'5 with the latest addition of the 11'2 providing excellent glide incorporated with stability, yet still maintaining a high level of performance for a rider up to 115kg. This is achieved with the use of a monoconcave bottom shape throughout the range, for a fast central rocker whilst maintaining rail curve for maneuverability. Rails are low to moderate volume, which are pinched as you move forward for good acceleration and control. Tails are area squash tails for responsiveness, with pulled in noses with generous rocker for being able to deal with waves which are a little hollower. Wide Point. Performance with comfort.

The 8'10' Widepoint continues with its role as the shorter board for the heavier rider. With adequate stability to cater for the 100+ kilo types, those smaller riders can also enjoy the excellent stability created by the width and moderate volume rails, combined with the responsiveness of a shorter-length board. Improvements have come about from a slight rail reduction in volume, smoother rocker and marginally modified outline in the nose and tail. All these changes make large differences, with previous owners claiming they want the new one, having experienced the board?s flow, extra sensitivity and rail turns with tighter cutbacks.
