Corinth canal sup crossing

On Sunday November 1st 2015, the naval traffic of the Corinth canal will be stopped, for 150 and more Stand Up Paddlers to compete at the 'straightest race' of the world.

The race will designate, beside the winners of the 5th Hellenic SUP CUP 2015, also Greece and it's history, as the specific race has stimulate the interest of the global SUP community.

The race is so special, not only for the high competitive level, but also for the emotions that overflows every paddler when he/she stands inside this historic canal, between its 80m vertical walls.

Corinth Canal is a unique monument around the globe and only few have the privilege to cross it on a Stand Up Paddle Board.

For 5 consecutive years, the Isthmus race has been the most interesting for many paddlers coming from different countries of Europe, who travel to Greece for this opportunity.

Situé en Grèce, le canal de Corinthe est une voie d'eau artificielle de 7km de long creusée à la fin du 19ème siècle à travers l'isthme de Corinthe, pour relier le golfe de Corinthe, dans la mer Ionienne, à l'ouest, au golfe Saronique, dans la mer Égée, à l'est.
